I have been slowly but surely planning this wedding of ours and boy oh boy can it be quite a handful. Thankfully, fiance is pretty involved just as much as I am. Although it's not til a year away, I feel good in knowing that we can plan as early as possible to save us the stress and trouble of cramming last minute. You know what I mean?

On Saturday, we spent a portion of our day bridesmaid dress shopping and I am relieved to say I have selected two dresses that I am settled on! They are beautiful and the color is so pretty! With the church booked, the venue booked, and the bridesmaid dresses chosen, I feel better already. Now next on my list of to-do's is to pay for the florist!

I am slowly getting to the beast of it all - CHOOSING THE RIGHT DRESS! How exciting?!

Today was a nice sunny and breezy day. I woke up so late today at exactly 1:09pm ..Can you believe it? I've been staying up til about 3am the past week every single night so imagine how tired I have been lately..

Fiance and I went to check out another venue for our wedding but it's a no-go so we have made up our minds on this one place to just call it a day and not bother hunting around anymore..we're going to put the deposit for the place tomorrow :)

Today Fiance and I had to wake up early for an appointment with a priest at a nearby church to set our wedding date. I decided to wear this outfit because I was under the impression that it would be a nice sunny warm day. Well, it was a nice sunny day alright just not warm. It ended up being cool and pretty windy to say the least. I was mistakenly fooled as tomorrow would be the day I predicted today would be. Ah well, lesson learned.

It did end up being a very productive day after all. We booked the church, got a tour of the entire church property we'll be renting. We also went to see a local florist to see some sample invitations. Then we went to check out another restaurant for the reception to be held at. We found the one we want that we both believe will seat enough guests for our special night.

Next thing on my to-do list within the very near future leading to our (my) big day is: EXERCISE!

Florals and Cream Blends

This was an outfit I wore last Friday. I had to drop off my fiance at the tattoo parlor as he was getting some more tattoos to add to his sleeve. It's pretty surreal how it turned out because he actually got my face on his arm. To be honest, it looks a whole lot like me surprisingly. I think it even looks better - lol. So while he was getting more details to his sleeve, I went to the mall nearby to "browse" and also exchange some shorts I purchased for him the evening before.

The shoes in these pictures I am absolutely IN-LOVE with. I purchased two pairs in the same day. One for me and one for my sister. I then thought about purchasing a third pair AS A BACKUP but decided not to so instead I got the other color (gold).

I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!

Today's outfit of the day was long long overdue! I've always been meaning to dedicate my blog to fashion outfit of the day posts but have been finding myself putting it off. I moved in March 2009 and have always told myself prior to moving that I would photograph my outfits and devote more time to my blog. It is obviously 2 years later and I haven't been keeping that promise. Better late than never, right? To be honest, my camera quality is horrid but at least I can still capture photos of outfits before I ever invest in a better quality camera. Outfit details at the end. Hope you enjoy!

Wet N' Wild Color Icon Trios & Swatches

Swatches of Wet N/ Wild eyeshadows! I purchased 'Walking on Eggshells' & 'don't steal my thunder' from Walgreens. The rest are from Rite Aid.

These retail for $2.99 (not sure if this differs based on your location). I got them all pretty much for $1.99 cause I bought them on sale.

Overall expectations: I think these are GREAT eyeshadows especially for the price! Absolutely wonderful pigmentation. Some can be chalky but some also make up for it because of the metallic payoff.

I feel like W N' W is really expanding their color collection and I really love that!

Compared to the holiday palettes, I totally would have to say that the trios incredibly surpass the holiday collection! I don't even reach for the holiday collection palettes at all & can't even remember the last time I did!

So the name clearly defines it all..

I love myself a great & affordable find. When I came to discover that CVS was having a generous sale off some of their selected products (in regards to makeup in this aspect), I knew immediately I had to hit up the closest CVS that I could find! Which by the way, mission accomplished. In the midst of going to CVS, I realized I also needed to check out Rite Aid in an attempt to come upon the new release of the Wet N' Wild color icon trio eyeshadows. I was anxious to get my hands on these but low and behold - I could not seem to locate them at Rite Aid so I made a trip to the next closest drugstore I could think of at the time that also sells Wet N' Wild which is Walgreens.

Upon my arrival at Walgreens, I was plesantly surprised by some of their very own sales going on at the time. I stumbled before Wet N' Wild products with a price cut of 50% off so I picked up 2 blushes & 2 eyeshadow trios and Loreal Carbon Black mascara for $5.00.

At CVS, I picked up a Maybelline dream matte mousse foundation, a Milani Blush, burt's bees lip balm (not pictured), Revlon super lustrous lipgloss (yet another), and lastly - Rimmel lipstick in Spotlight Beige.

Howdy folks! Hope everyone has been well! Happy Belated Halloweenie to everyone! My halloween wasn't too pleasant. I spent $87.00 on tickets to a massive halloween party in the city at a club which was 5 stories. I was so eager to attend and especially more so because of the company that I was going to be with. Up until approximately 4 hours before the event kicked off, I began not feeling so well :( runny nose, sneezing, and watery eyes! I think I was allergic to my friend's room-mates cats (she has two of them). I took two benadryls in an attempt to alleviate the reaction but it didn't help & it only made things worse because I was extremely sleepy from the medicine. I fell asleep to the club, ALMOST (so close) to falling asleep in the club, and I fell asleep coming home from the club. What a night I tell ya! I did see some really amazing and creative costumes though! What was I by the way? I was a fairy. And by fairy, I don't mean the promiscuous kind in any way. If anything, let's just say that I was completely and entirely overdressed compared to pretty much everyone else in the club. I didn't buy a costume persay, I just wore a dress I had with some fairy wings and accessories. I hope everyone had a great halloween!

I REALLY wanted the MAC Venomous Villains Bite of an apple blush but unfortunately did not make it quick enough to the MAC counter to grab one. I know this was a limited time collection but does anyone know if MAC continues to sell limited time products for a certain amount of time after a new collection has already been released? I REALLY want this blush :(

Fiance and I are in the midst of moving so hopefully once we do, I will have more time to blog and film videos. For space purposes and lighting reasons, I can't update as much and often as I'd like right now. Plus, my schedule at work has been changing and I haven't been adjusting as gracefully as I would have liked.

Hi All, I know..I know..it's been forever and a day since I've updated this thing. Lately, I've been so uninspired to write. I purchased the pair this past Sunday and was eager with excitement to try them both out. I have yet to open the Flat-top brush but the eye makeup remover? Oh-Em-Gee!! This is my new FAVORITE eye makeup remover EVER!! Tonight is my first night using this and let me tell you ladies (and gents) that this is my new HG eye makeup remover! *LOVESSS* It's gentle, incredibly effective, and removes all traces of makeup! I only had to swipe a couple of swishes across my sensitive lashes and before I knew it, all the residue on my eyes were transferred easily to my cotton pad.

Review: Victoria's Secret Sparkle Eyeshadows

This is just a review on the VS eyeshadows thats been favorited by a lot of beauty guru's. I think they are lovely shadows and the consistency of these are really different than your normal eyeshadow. Lots of hints of shimmer but definitely no fall-out.

Collective makeup haulage..(and some earrings too)

Did some hauling.......AGAIN! For the past 2 years, I've found passion in makeup more than I have been in fashion. I don't know if it's a phase I am going through but I doubt it. My sister once said "collecting makeup is like a hobby" which I do totally agree with. Just like boys love their cars and sports, girls love their makeup and fashion. I used to be the type of chick that can have like one or two eyeshadows and wear it everyday and be fine - but not anymore. Now, I have oodles and oodles of products from all different brands that I really can't justify why I need 7 different shades of gray eyeshadows. I suppose it's not so much as a "Need" as it is a "Want".

Well, my best rationalization for my shopping is that I work extremely hard and that I might as well treat myself to something nice and enjoy my youth and freedom while it's within reach. Years and years from now when I bare children and get older and older, there wouldn't really be a point to collect makeup and splurge on myself anymore so now is the time to embrace my age and beauty while it's still existent.

Anywhoodles, here are the products I bought recently (the video is also attached in case you wanna check that out too).

Sigma Brushes the "Complete Kit" - Shipping was super duper fast. Only 2 business days! I ordered my sister the face + eyes kit too and she also got it in 2 days! WOW! I haven't used these yet but they feel super duper soft! I really wanted the SS109 but I'm going to have to buy that separately later as it is not a must-need at the moment!

I bought three MAC lipsticks. A backup of the Viva Glam CYNDI (such a wearble red - only out for a year) and then I bought a Glaze in "Hue" and a Cremesheen in "Creme Cup". Hue is a lot like my natural lip color but it def. enhances them. Creme Cup is a pretty everyday pink with a blue undertone.

I also picked up another pigment in "Frozen White". It's more iridescent than white to me. It's described as a white with a blue duochrome which it does have a blue duochrome but the white isn't as noticeable as I want it to be. Still pretty though.

Another thing I got was a single eyeshadow in "Idol Eyes". This is a silverish eyeshadow with purple reflects. The purple is not that obvious though. It's sheer and kind of reminds me of a pearl finish as it is not that pigmented as I want it to be.
I got three VS Sparkle Eyeshadows in Fierce, 24K, and Spin. I have only tried fierce and 24k so far. They are nice to wear over another eyeshadow but not on its own in my opinion as it is not easily blendable and I had to layer it on before it could really give my eyes a "pop" of color/sparkle.
Things I got from Ulta - (ULTA is having a 40% off sale on Maybelline, Revlon, Almay & Ulta products which is why I bought some of the following).

Revlon Satin Eyeshadow in "Platinum Glimmer" & Revlon Perle Eyeshadow in "Lilac Shimmer" - these are pretty decently pigmented given they are a drugstore brand.

Maybelline dream matte powder in "Medium Beige". Haven't used this yet but I hope I did okay with picking out my shade despite my lack of knowing my own undertone color :(

I got ANOTHER backup of NYC's bronzer in sunny (which makes 3 backup's now, I heard they were being discontinued). I don't like to wear it much for contouring purposes but more on the apples of my cheeks :)
Lastly, I picked up 4 stud earrings from Icing. Now that I think about it, I def. overpaid for these in comparison to F21 jewelry. I don't know what I was thinking. These were unplanned purchases (usually I know what I'm going to buy before I buy it - I'm not really a spur-of-the moment kind of shopper). SO I just bought these on a whim despite my normal shopping behavior. They are all really cute but I think I might have to return the two on the right cause after I brought it home, I began getting "iffy" on them. You know what I mean ladies? When you buy something right away cause it looks great in the store and then you bring it home and you're like - wait , it doesn't look as great as when I first saw it?? SO yeah.......still thinking

Healthier Curls for your hair!

Hey Y'alls! Here is just a little review on the Conair Instant Heat Rollers. I use this now as an alternative to curling irons. I used to use the Conair 25-Instant Heat Curling Iron (both the 1in. & the 1, 1/2 in.) almost all the time! It eventually made my hair dry and brittle on the ends as does most other heat products thats placed directly on our fragile strands of hair. I've been very good at trying to get my hair back to a healthy condition. Along with my top haircare products (as mentioned in the below video), and a wide-tooth comb, my hair has been more pleasant to me than before. Every now & then, when I'm in a big rush, I will depend on my curling irons. Other than that, I'm loving these rollers. Not only does my hair have volume using these but my hair feels so much healthier and I can still curl it without feeling bad that its doing damage to it! Hurray :)

Recently, I went to the store and happened to come across some articles of clothing that is basic and essential for everyday wear. Normally, I'd just walk past the racks without even giving a second glance but something just caught my attention and I was curious to find out. I was surprised with the prices and just had to get them.

I even bought the EXACT same items for my sister (we do not live in the same state). I first showed her these and she was fond of them so I bought all of this for her too :)

Omg! I've been gone for a little longer than I planned. Well, Merry Belated Christmas to everyone and Happy Belated New Years!

NYC BRONZER, FOREVER 21 BRONZER, FOREVER 21 NAILPOLISH

Hi there Everybody. Oh-em-gee, I have been gone for quite a bit. Sorry for the lack of updates..I've been uber bizzzzzzzzzzzzz-ay! Anywhoodles, Has anyone ever tried Forever 21's nailpolish and/or Cream Bronzer? Well I have :-)

Well, the brand is called Love & Beauty and it is sold at F21 stores. I picked up one nailpolish and one bronzer and thought I oughta give em' a try. I have had this nailpolish on since Wed night and I took this photo today. Meaning there hasn't been any chips, or cracks in the paint for 4 days already! I am super impressed thus far!

Light Grey for $2.80

Moving onto Bronzers, I never really wear bronzers or blush but since I have heard so many raves about NYC's Sunny Bronzer, I knew I HAD to give it a try and for $2.99 a pop, I couldn't NOT try it. Well, let's just say this stuff is the bomb. This bronzer is cool cause it is not muddy, runny, and it def. doesn't feel caked on. I only put a small amt of it onto my brush and gently swipe it along the hollow of my cheeks. I bought this about 2 weeks ago and have been wearing it just about everyday. Sometimes, I like to pair it with a gentle pink blush on the apples of my cheeks :)

If I am not wearing a gentle pink blush with the bronzer above, then I like to pair it with Love & Beauty's creamy bronzer (from F21). These two work beautifully together. However, this bronzer below is cream-based so it IS a lot thicker in texture. Only a very very very light dab of the brush will do. You don't want it to be piled on the brush or else, it'll just look all sorts of crazy. This bronzer is a very pretty color but if any of y'all decide to buy it, remember that a little def does go a long way!

Eyes Lips Face "The Beauty Encyclopedia" for $5.00 at Target. I'm telling you this is one of the ABSOLUTE BEST $5.00 I have ever spent.

The colors are SO intensely pigmented with just one swipe!!!! Watch my YT video above for swatches. I LOVE this palette. I didn't even think it would be THAT pigmented because it's so cheap but I was super duper impressed!!
Here are a couple of MAC items I actually got recently. Two of the eye shadows I got because I recycled 12 items of MAC products that I no longer use.

Pearl Pigment Swatches

These are really loose shimmer shadows and have good color payoff depending on which ones you purchase. They tend to have a lot of fall-out which I am not at all fond of but I expected that when I purchased them anyways. I just thought they'd be nice to put on top of a similar eyeshadow color to help intensify it.

Mocha and Walnut are my favorite! Very beautiful!

Lipglosses

These DON'T smell (I can't stand smelly lip stuff) and they aren't sticky. Color payoff is great also.

Whipped is a peachy-neutral color

Sorbet is a pinky color

Both are BEAUTIFUL!

Okay so here is my EyesLipsFace.com (ELF) Haul (a combination of my first & second haul):

I am going to give a brief review about these from my own perspective. I bought these myself and there is no use going into detail about each product since you can find that on the website yourself. I am just gonna give you my pros/cons of each, a mini-description and if I will repurchase.

Eyes Lips Face Haul

UNDER EYE CONCEALER AND HIGHLIGHTER - This is supposed to help brighten up dark circles and awaken eye area.

PROS: Light, sheer, easy to blend, absorbs quickly. The highlighter can be used as a primer (I haven't tried to use it as a primer so I wouldn't know if it does enhance and make your eyeshadow last longer or not).

CONS: Doesn't really provide enough coverage to hide baggy eyes, dark circles. The highlighter comes with shimmer (so you might not like drawing attn to your dark and puffy eye area if you have that problem). The shimmer doesn't bother me though.

WOULD I REPURCHASE? Yes because I like the highlighter portion.

PEBBLE EYESHADOW - grayish brown hue

PROS: buildable, earth-tone color, work appropriate, isn't over-the-top, glides on smoothly

CONS: pretty sheer (noted in photo below) so it takes a couple of layers to get the color to show

WOULD I REPURCHASE? yes

SAND DOLLAR EYESHADOW - pearly white shadow

PROS: can be used as a highlighter, very pigmented and beautiful

CONS: no complaints here

WOULD I REPURCHASE? yes

Look at the color intensity down below!

COFFEE BEAN EYESHADOW - shimmery brown color

PROS: pigmented, not overbearing, buildable, work appropriate

CONS: has shimmer in it if you're not big on that

WOULD I REPURCHASE? Yes

The color swatch actually looks more vibrant than "Pebble" on my finger. more pigmented than "Pebble" but this one has shimmer in it (Pebble doesn't)

PUNK FUNK BRIGHTENING EYESHADOW

PROS: the white and pink colors are true to color. very intense. very vibrant. only $1.00

CONS: the purple and blue shadows do not offer great color payoff

WOULD I REPURCHASE? DEFINITELY!! just because of the pink and white shades....

The white in here is gorge!

COMPLEXION PERFECTION - help radiate skin, eliminate redness, level out skin complexion

PROS: sheer, lightweight, attractive looking, tones down shine (but only for about an hour)

CONS: not long lasting, doesn't hide blemishes.

WOULD I REPURCHASE? I did but now wish i didn't. it's only $3.00 so it's okay :)

CORRECTIVE CONCEALER - conceal problematic skin blemishes, eliminate redness, balance skin tone

PROS: easy to travel with for a quick filler if you're in an emergency and need something quick

CONS: texture definitely feels cheap, not long lasting, doesn't live up to it's promise

WOULD I REPURCHASE? No

EYE TRANSFORMER- help to change the color of your eyeshadows

PROS: does change the color of your eyeshadows, can be used as a highlighter, great for ppl who do not spend too much on eyeshadows (you can just transform your current ones into different shades)

CONS: changes eyeshadow color very subtly, even if used as highlighter - the colors aren't that vibrant

WOULD I REPURCHASE? No

Experimenting with MAC Freshwater eyeshadow so you guys can see an example:

TRANSLUCENT MATIFYING POWDER - achieve flawless coverage, prevent shine by matifying skin

PROS: does combat shine, very sheer, lightweight, and easy to apply

CONS: shine is only eliminated for about an hr or so (mine at least), doesn't last long

WOULD I REPURCHASE? I did but now wish I hadn't. $3.00 though so it's okay. i will still use it!

Hi Everyone! Hope you all are having a fabulous weekend. I for one did not get as much accomplished as I wanted since I was busy all day today. (Sigh :-[ ).... But hopefully tomorrow I will have plenty of time.

The first item I bought today is Batiste Dry Shampoo Blush (from Sally Beauty Supply). My hair has been going through this phase lately (I hope it's a phase) where after a couple of hours after I wash my hair, it begins to have this greasy-looking effect (maybe I play with it too much?? I dunno..). I can't stand that look and feel, so I needed something to aid my hair in between washes since I have read it's bad to wash your hair twice a day.

This is my hair BEFORE applying Batiste. My hair looks greasy and darker than usual. Btw, Don't hate me for my overgrown-out roots, I haven't had time to do my hair yet :-(

This is my hair WITH Batiste on there. DO you notice the white powdery substance on my hair? That my friend, is Batiste making its appearance :-)

This is my hair AFTER Batiste. Notice it is not greasy-looking anymore in comparison to the 1st pic above. I know my hair still looks chalky but it's actually not. It's refreshed, the grease is gone and you can see my highlights more. Can you tell the difference? I can ;-P

Down below is Mane 'N Tail Shine/detangling/heat protectant spray from Sally Beauty Supply. It also has Olive Oil Complex. I haven't tried this out yet.

Last is Grins & Giggles Baby Lotion by Gerber. I bought this at Big Lots also. This baby lotion smells so good (berry scent), is non-greasy, and absorbs very quickly. 3 pluses in my book. LOVE it.

Hard Candy now at Walmart! O-M-G!! NEW Dupe for MAC's Close to Real Revealed!

If you haven't already heard, Walmart is now carrying Hard Candy Makeup Products! Oh-Em-Gee! I just read about it today at work and headed to Walmart straight after. I was on a makeup hunt and boy was I jubilant and giddy when I stumbled my obsessed crazed eyes on this new product line.

It's pretty neat I tell ya. There are only a couple of things I purchased. My absolute favorite item that I got from their line was their lipstick in #200 "Fire Alarm". It's an EXCELLENT dupe for MAC's "Close to Real" Lustre lipstick. The consistency of Fire Alarm is also similar to a lustre because it's definitely creamy and easy to apply with intense color pigmentation. It's a nude-y pink undertoned lipstick. I feel to best describe it would be to say that it's a hybrid between MAC's Myth and Close to Real lipsticks. I give this product 10 stars (out of 5)..haha! That's how much I love it that I had to over-rate it. And it's ONLY $6.00. Need I say more? $6.00 compared to $14.00? C'mon, it's a win-win situation. You can get 2 for less the price of one! Maybe next time around, I'll stock up :]

My Favorite Lip Products!

Hi Y'all! So I have no idea why but I have been on a lipstick frenzy in the past month or so. Oh my gosh! Usually I'm a big fan of lipglosses but lately, I'm SO into lipsticks. The above and below are my favorite lip products as of recently.

**Mermaid by Too Faced Girls Dig Pearls retails for $18.00 and you can find it at Sephora. It's a gorgeous soft irridescent pink with TONS of reflective sparkles. This is Gorgeous! You must try this out the next time you're at Sephora! I swatched it once and next thing you know, I was at the counter paying for it ;-P

**Pink Whisper by Revlon varies in price depending on which drugstore you're at and where you live. I bought mine for $6.99. This is my favorite drugstore lip gloss (I have a backup to vouch for that) and it's a lovely gentle pink.
**Born with it and Pink Please by Maybelline are both pink-y, slightly mauve lipsticks. They are very smooth and definitely glides on easily. I wear them together and feel that they really complement one another. I bought mine from CVS for $5.99 but I think that was the sale price at the time. I believe on average they retail for roughly $6.99-$7.99?? They are so pretty and I like them so much that I even bought back-ups :)

**Close to Real by MAC is a BEAUTIFUL lustre lipstick. It is more smooth and sheer but has intense color payoff. It's a nude-y color with a pale pink undertone. This is a limited edition item so get yours before they run out while supplies last. The MAC mua informed me that MAC's Creme D'Nude lipstick has the most striking resemblance to Close to Real. Creme D'Nude is part of their permanent collection so if you miss out on Close to Real, you can try this one out!

**Myth by MAC is a true nude flesh-toned lipstick. This is a matte consistency and personally in my opinion, it's more drying on my lips. I can't wear this alone on my lips because it washes me out and dries my lips out. However, the color is a very nice nude so I had to have it. fyi: Make sure your lips are nice and smooth prior to applying so that you can achieve even coverage.

**Both retail for $14.00 at MAC

**Baby Pink (#100) by Barry M is a definite pale pink and it's more matte. It's a bit harder to blend the color in so that it doesn't look flaky but it's very pretty if you can accomplish precise application. fyi: Make sure your lips are nice and smooth prior to applying so that you can achieve even coverage.

**Palest Lavender (#129) by Barry M is more of a creamy lilac colored lipstick. It's TOTALLY lovely and comparable to MAC's Lavender Whip lipstick. It glides on effortlessly and I love it sooooo much! This is probably my favorite out of all the above mentioned. I wish I had another one of this :(

**Both retail for L4.25 which in USD is approximately $6.79 and you can find it at www.barrym.com

Last, I can't live without Burt's Bee's Lip Balm. I'm a huge fan of that minty and tingly sensation that it provides and my lips have gotten so used to it that it's a MUST HAVE everyday item. Without it, I'd be really upset. That's how much I need to have this product! This lip balm is about I believe $3.99 at most drugstores which can also depend on where you are located and purchasing from.

I'd say in this economy, imitations are the safest route!

Our good and trusty ole' pal: VASELINE.

For years, we have been using vaseline for many things but did you also know that many women trust in vaseline to help promote longer, thicker and darker eyelashes? Many women have claimed that it helps to elongate their eyelashes. I have recently jumped onto the bandwagon and have been trying it myself for the past 3 nights or so and I do see a bit of a difference thus far. If you attempt it yourself, I'd love to hear the results! Please refer to links below for more information:
Before bed, I usually coat a very tiny amount of vaseline onto my lashes carefully not getting it into my eyes. As we get older, our eyelashes become more brittle and therefore prone to more breakage. Vaseline can help to restore the moisture in our eyelashes.
